What do you love? Book and Author Spotlight

Sandra Kathleen • July 19, 2022

Today I'm excited to welcome debut author Sandra Kathleen as she shares about her new non-fiction release. This is the first of three guest posts from this talented new author, so stay tuned over the coming days to learn more about her journey and her book.

What do you love? What are you passionate about? I love teaching and training individuals and helping them to mature in their faith, their relationships, their communication, and the list goes on. I consider myself a life-long learner and with every concept I study and hear, I look for opportunities to pass the material on to someone else so they can benefit as much as I have from the lessons.

I have been a follower of Christ for most of my life, and though I attended a state university, I took every advantage of opportunities to research Biblical characters, compare religions, and begin to develop more formal skills in teaching others what I was learning. At the age of 21, I married the love of my life, and exactly one year later we boarded a plane to live overseas for one year.

We quickly fell in love with the people and the culture and decided to stay. That was more than 20 years ago. During this time, I have continued to study God’s Word and develop skills in training others through putting on women’s retreats and leading small group Bible Studies.

As I was invited to travel around the world teaching at women’s retreats and other events, the lessons that God was teaching me became the material for these training sessions. After several years as I looked over the messages that I had written, I realized they all followed one theme. They all spoke of the journey we are all on to become mature and complete in Christ.

I realized that it was very timely for me to write this new book, Mature and Complete: How God Uses Trials, Brokenness, and Wilderness Times for Our Good because now more than ever it seems many are experiencing trials, brokenness, and hopelessness.

No matter how we feel or what storms we find ourselves in, the truth is that we were not meant to be broken and hopeless but mature and complete.

My new book will take you on a journey to discover how God, in His sovereignty and grace, uses these difficult times in our lives to develop in us perseverance resulting in the character qualities that He desires for us to possess in increasing measure. Much of our growth depends on the condition of our hearts; as we begin to believe what God says about us and embrace our identity in Christ, as we trust Him and seek Him above all else, and as we learn to release our burdens to Him, He begins to transform us into the men and women He created us to be.
I am full of joy with the release of this book because I can now share with you all that God has been teaching me! The paperback is now available on Amazon, and the pre-sales are open for the Kindle edition, but I have set the first week of August as my “Launch Week” with deals each day. More details to come!
